Our core activities include deploying the Cybersecurity Capacity Maturity Model for Nations (CMM), developing initiatives to improve cybersecurity capacity and conducting cybersecurity research in Africa. Along with CMM deployments, we strive to increase cybersecurity awareness in the region. Our strength is on our cybersecurity experts, researchers and partners who share an overarching goal of helping nations with cyber resilience. C3SA provides a single-entry point for cybersecurity capacity building & research activities in Africa.

C3SA is hosted by the University of Cape Town and acts as a coordination and collaboration hub between cybersecurity capacity-building actors in order to reduce duplication of efforts on cyber capacity building in the region.  We are a partner of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) -  a forum that aims to strengthen cyber capacity and expertise globally.
